The motherboards have been purchased without any home work and that is why many people is the south Asia and middle east have not been satisfied with their overall system performance and also they disappoint after purchase. Motherboard is the backbone of any PC and it should be purchased according to feature: budget. When it comes to best motherboard manufacturer than a name appears in our mind, “AsRock” which has made solidly build, solid overclock able and Great performance motherboards from many years. Today we are going to check out the AsRock Z77 Extreme 9 motherboard which is specially design for Ivy Bridge Processors and PCIe 3.0.

ASRock Z77 Extreme 9 has been released and represented as “High End” motherboard and price is also at that level. The surface of ASRock Z77 Extreme 9 is full of capacitors and many ics. The look is same as many of AsRock motherboards had. The black and silver color with some white colored spec on motherboard give it a great look and it looks like a high end motherboard as well. The 7 total PCIe slot are available on the motherboard and VRM components also play their part and heat sinking system is also colored black on edges and silver dark on the top is a nice idea as well. The socket area has been pretty much clear i.e. no capacitors or ics are near to it as on may other motherboards. The full compliment RAM slots are colored black alongside the socket. The overall design of ASRock Z77 Extreme 9 is really nice and cool and its really awesome to see.

We have review many Z77 motherboards and we really like the AsRock motherboards of Z77 series and not because of their features but also of their solid performance as well. The Gigabyte Z77 G1.Sniper M3 really pleased us by its features, performance and price but ASRock Z77 Extreme 9 is not even a tough competitor of Gigabyte Z77 G1.Sniper M3 except few MB/s in USB 3.0 and SATA 6 Gbps speed tests. ASRock Z77 Extreme 9 has UEFI BIOS which is a great feature and it help to support the 1TB+ HDDs as well.The overclock ability of the ASRock Z77 Extreme 9 is very good but still lower than the mini Gigabyte motherboard. The ASRock Z77 Extreme 9 has total 7 PCIe slots as a High End motherboard and 6 of them are PCIe x16 and one of them is PCIe x1 slot which is good for any user who looking for a gaming motherboard. There are 4 DIMS for RAM which can handle 8GB each, 32GB DDR3 RAM in total. There is FireWire, HDMI, Infrared, some USB ports, audio header is available on the bottom edges for user.There is also a post code display which is really great so you can easily find the error by check the result against the displayed code on the manual and then you can easily sort out any problem. There are total total 10x SATA ports available on the motherboard and 6 of them are SATA 6 Gbps (4x AsMedia in black color + 2x Intel Controller) and 4x SATA 3 Gbps ports in grey color. The back panel is full of USB ports. There are 8x USB 3.0 ports, 2x USB 2.0 ports, Dual LAN, HDMI, PS/2, audio ports, FireWire and eSATA as well.

The AsRock Z77 Extreme 9 has a great design and multi GPU Crossfire/ SLI support as well. It has 6x SATA 6Gbps and 4x SATA 3Gbps port and 8x USB 3.0 ports i.e. great connectivity options available on ASRock Z77 Extreme 9 but it lacks in the performance. If I would who is looking to buy a Z77 motherboard for Extreme gaming than I would definitely not but this one but if you have small budget than obviously you choice is very limited. Yes, I would prefer Gigabyte G1.Sniper mini ATX over AsRock Z77 Extreme 9. The ASRock Z77 Extreme 9’s overclocked performance is lower than the Gigabyte G1.Sniper mini ATX which is really shocking.
