The notebook is full of many kind of notebooks and use has much more options to choose from today than before. I went in the market to buy a notebook for my personal use and the things that I consider were, I am not going to play games on my notebook so Intel HD graphics would be enough so I concentrate to get a better CPU and as I like the mobility that is why I choose SSD as storage solution, USB 3.0 is necessary along with Ethernet port should be included but the main important thing is battery life. I mention these things for just to give you an idea on how to group 3 or 4 notebooks which matches you criteria most. Today we are going to review an HP notebook. Asus is famous for its notebooks of wide variety with best build quality and performance. Today we will review HP Compaq Presario CQ58which is AMD APU based notebook.
The HP Compaq Presario CQ58 is a 15.6 inch notebook so HP decides to not go with separate numpad and focus on the size of keys. The keys are pretty large in size and with rectangle shape, they are good enough for the typing. The keys had good pressure points, keystroke and feedback for accurate typing and they we found keyboard working fine during our typing test but some problem with function keys regarding responsiveness. The touchpad is decently large and it has two physically separated click keys which are pretty good. The LED is present for indication and the surface is dotted. The touchpad has multi-touch feature as well and we do not found any problem with touchpad during our test. Overall HP Compaq Presario CQ58 has pretty decent keyboard and nice touchpad.
The HP Compaq Presario CQ58 has stereo speaker of sound solution company “Altec Lansing” which are expert in sound department. The speakers are located on the front and bottom side which is not an ideal position for the speakers. The sound is pretty good regarding sound quality and base is also pretty decent and we do not find better speakers than these speakers which are located on bottom of notebook. Overall HP Compaq Presario CQ58 has good speakers.
The HP Compaq Presario CQ58 is pretty good regarding to the temperatures and you can use it on the lap because temperatures remain pretty low during the idle working and under load and it is really good, especially for the student who uses their notebook on lap most of the time. The HP Compaq Presario CQ58’s fan produces a bit more than usual noise in the idle working which was a bit surprise, The noise in the load working scenario increase a little than idle but its was low than many other notebook and it can’t distract anyone. Overall HP Compaq Presario CQ58 remains cool and quiet.
The is a an AMD based notebook so you can’t expect best performance from it and as it is not expensive as Intel based notebooks are which give better performance. The HP Compaq Presario CQ58 has good speakers, battery life, keyboard and touchpad. The HP Compaq Presario CQ58 has poor display and inconsistent build quality. It runs pretty cool and quiet under load working. The connectivity options are pretty decent but Bluetooth and USB 3.0 port is not available. The HP Compaq Presario CQ58 is not bad choice to make but the decision depend upon you budget and you have to decide. Contact me for more advice if you require…..
