Motherboard is very essential part of any computer and the main power of computer depends upon motherboard as it is the backbone of the computer especially gaming PCs. It does really matters to have a good strong performer motherboard to get the max performance from your CPU and GPU. The ability of overclocking the CPU and GPU mainly depends upon the motherboard and Enthusiasts pay much attention in searching a perfect motherboard for their gaming PC. If your motherboard lags in performance than how you CPU will be fully utilized but some people do not really want to overclock their CPU or GPU as they stick to stock clock speeds so Today we are going to review a AsRock motherboard which is AsRock H77 Pro4-MVP.
AsRock is famous for their performance motherboards and they are giving very tough competition to ASUS which make really great, top class motherboard as AsRock is competing well with ASUS. The AsRock H77 Pro4-MVP is basically Intel IvyBridge based motherboard and it’s a good looking midlevel motherboard. The AsRock H77 Pro4-MVP has no overclocking as it is H77 motherboard. The AsRock H77 Pro4-MVP comes in nice box and just 2x SATA III cables, I/O back plate and manual and driver disk is included as it’s a normal user based motherboard and at this price, you can’t really expect to get much things in box with motherboard. The black and brown colors are used for giving it a decent look and white color for nominating components as usual. The AsRock H77 Pro4-MVP included 2x PCIe X16 slot and as its H77 based board so there is no x16-> 8x and 8x feature available. The AsRock H77 Pro4-MVP has three legacy PCI slot for audio card etc. There is COM1 High Definition audio and some fan headers and USB 2.0 header are available. The AsRock H77 Pro4-MVP also has 4x SATA 3 Gbps (Black) ports and 2x SATA 6 Gbps ports (Grey) and there are more 2x SATA 6 Gbps ports which are basically operated by the AsMedia ASM1061 controller. The also had a USB 3.0 header and 4x DIMM slots which supports 32GB (max) DDR3 RAM and max support memory frequency is 1600 Mhz. There are two power connectors on board which are 24 Pin ATX and 8 Pin CPU power connectors. The AsRock H77 Pro4-MVP also has typical widely used UEFI BIOS which is used by most of the motherboards these days and it is very user friendly as well.
On the rear I/O side, the AsRock H77 Pro4-MVP has PS/2 port, 6x USB 2.0 ports, 2x USB 3.0 ports, HDMI, DVI-D and VGA for video output. The AsRock H77 Pro4-MVP also has Realtek Gigabyte Ethernet port, 5x Audio ports and Realtek Digital audio as well.
The AsRock H77 Pro4-MVP is very nice motherboard and it does well in our tests as well. It has decent design and good performance for a normal user who do not want overclocking. The AsRock H77 Pro4-MVP has pretty decent connectivity feature but I personally like to have atleast 4x USB 3.0 at back. The overclock ability and especially RAM frequency support is much limited and if you want better then you should go with their z77 Extreme 6 motherboard. The AsRock H77 Pro4-MVP is obviously for normal users, not for Enthusiasts and high end gamers as you can’t really get benefits of overclocking and multi GPU setup SLI/ CrossFire as well but if you are still in confusion then contact us for advice.
