Few days ago, I was sitting in my university’s canteen and drinking a cup of tea and then two of my friends come and show me their new notebooks of HP and ASUS but when I ask them “Did you search before purchase?” and they “no.“. Well I did not say anything to them and yesterday, they were in canteen in frustrated mode and they were frustrated because of their notebooks do not perform as their desired requirements and that is the problem which mostly people face who do not complete their home work before going in the market. Fujitsu is a good brand as their introduced variety in notebooks in market with comparatively low price. Today we will review Fujitsu Lifebook N532.

Fujitsu Lifebook N532 has good color scheme of black-grey and silver which seems pretty decent and attractive. The case is mostly build with the plastic and the case is quite strong enough for a notebook and the lid is handle by good strong hinges which is a good thing. The bottom and the side are also pretty strong. There are no weak points as we see some softness above the optical drive and bottom side but Fujitsu Lifebook N532 do not have that bad thing except one, which is lid. The lid of the Fujitsu Lifebook N532 has softness and can be bend a bit by a little pressure. There is no other problem we found with the case of Fujitsu Lifebook N532. The total weight of Fujitsu Lifebook N532 almost 3Kg which is a bit heavy to carry around. Overall Fujitsu Lifebook N532 has good design.

The Fujitsu Lifebook N532 has 17.3 inch Samsung TN LED display panel and unfortunately it offer only 1600x900 resolutions. The resolution for this kind of all-rounder notebook with 17.3 of matte surface screen cause of some bad experience and also 1600x900 should be 1920x1080 for a 17.3 screen. The brightness of the display is pretty decent and you can easily figure it out. The contrast ratio of the display is good but inconsistent and the image quality of the Fujitsu Lifebook N532’s display is not satisfactory. The display had very limited vertical and horizontal viewing angles which are not good and I would like to have an IPS 1080p screen with this kind of notebook. The Fujitsu Lifebook N532 is almost impossible to use outdoor in sun light. Overall Fujitsu Lifebook N532 has poor display.

The Fujitsu Lifebook N532 a backlighting keyboard and has the numpad as well. The key are of pretty decent size and no one should have any problem with the size of keys. The keys are well adjusted and integrated as well. The key stroke of the overall keyboard is also nice and good pressure points make it very suitable for accurate fast typing. There are no special function keys but that is ok as you can do all those task with F1-F12 keys. The touchpad of the Fujitsu Lifebook N532 is also of large size and it has the multi-gesture feature as well. The touchpad is also very responsive and it done well in our multi-gesture test and simple navigation test. The surface of the touchpad is very suitable for gliding the finger on it. Overall keyboard and touchpad are very nice.

The Fujitsu Lifebook N532 has two stereo speakers which are located just above the keyboard and guarded by the grid. The speaker produce pretty good loud volume and the sound quality of the Fujitsu Lifebook N532 is also pretty decent but inconsistent. The base is completely missing and the overall sound is of pretty standard level. The people who want better should use external speakers. Overall Fujitsu Lifebook N532 has low than standard level speakers.

The Fujitsu Lifebook N532 has very low temperatures and we measure quite low temperatures of components and all around the side and on the keyboard. The temperature ware pretty low than expected level and that is because of better fan which through more heat out from the notebook. The fan very also producing low noise during the idle mode and it was very quiet and un-distracting as well. The noise was high was not much to distract you and broke your concentration. The noise remains constant but it cannot distract. Overall Fujitsu Lifebook N532 runs cool and quiet.

The Fujitsu Lifebook N532 has latest Bluetooth v 4.0 and Wifi module for high speed wireless connectivity as well. The Fujitsu Lifebook N532 has 3x USB 3.0 port, VGA, HDMI, Ethernet port and AC-in for adaptor on the left side while on the right side, it has optical drive, 1x USB 2.0/ eSATA combo port and 2x audio ports for audio in and out. It has card reader at the front and nothing on the rear side. Overall Fujitsu Lifebook N532 pleased us with its connectivity option.

The Fujitsu Lifebook N532 has 57 Watts, 6 Cell Lithium-ion Battery which manage to keep it running for about 281 minutes which is good for any al rounder notebook. We run the task as a normal user will run on it as Microsoft office work i.e. typing and listening music, some gaming and watching movie/ HD video clips and web surfing via Wifi connection and Skype chatting etc. to get the most realistic results instead of doing some battery benchmarks which are much applicable to real life.

The Fujitsu Lifebook N532 has very good things as it has good keyboard and touchpad. It has nice low temperature both in idle and load conditions. It also runs quieter and cool. It has plenty of connectivity options including three USB 3.0 ports. It performs well in our benchmarks and it has good battery life of 281 minutes as well. The Screen is of HD+ instead of 1080p resolution and IPS panel would give better results and speakers are also low than standard level. It is not a bad choice at all but for extreme gamers and professionals, screen is not up to the mark. Contact me if you want any advice, after all final decision is your.
