Review & Benchmarks
Again a great performer Sapphire card !,The new SAPPHIRE HD 7700 series is a new family of graphics cards targeting the enthusiast on a budget and mainstream users looking for increased graphics performance. It is based on the second family of GPU’s from AMD built in its new 28nm process and featuring the highly acclaimed GCN optimised graphics processing architecture.
Offering excellent performance at an even keener price.
By now most everyone from the casual gamer to the enthusiast has heard
about AMD's revolutionary new Graphics Core Next architecture, or GCN as
it's better known, along with its 28nm manufacturing process allowing
AMD to place 4.3 billion transistors in roughly the same amount of space
that at one time only allowed for the placement of 2.6 billion. We have
also seen the addition of features including Partially Resident
Textures (PRT), improved Anisotropic Filtering (AF), improved DirectX 11
Tessellation, PowerTune and ZeroCore Power technologies.
Sapphire's release of the Radeon HD 7770 GHz Edition takes the
reference card one step further by adding their own unique solution for
multi-monitor configurations, while at the same time retaining all of
the incredible features of the GCN architecture in an attractive price
range starting at $149.
The Sapphire HD 7770 GHZ Edition is packaged in a blue and black
colored box featuring an image of AMD mascot Ruby armed and ready for
combat. The front of the box is loaded with information regarding the HD
7770s features. Flipping the box around, you will find a list with all
the features along with what is included in the box.
