Lenovo has been one of the leading brand in the laptop market and their image is very solid in the mind of the people, I myself use a lenovo laptop for 2 years and never has any issue with that and especially battery department is the very strong plus point of Lenovo from few years. Their laptops mostly has a very nice battery life. Now we are Reviewing the Lenovo Twist series ultrabook, Lenovo ThinkPad Twist 3347-4HU.
Lenovo ThinkPad Twist (3347-4HU) is just like an modern ultrabook should have to be. i.e design + connectivity. Lenovo ThinkPad Twist (3347-4HU) has USB 3.0 ports which is must as all the new devices uses USB and for ultra high speed USB 3.0 is a must have features.Lenovo ThinkPad Twist (3347-4HU) has a USB 3.0 port, mini HDMI and a headphone jack for audio in/out, an the Ethernet port at the left side and on the right side an other USB 3.0 is available, a mini display port and the power jack for AC-adaptor is located.Lenovo ThinkPad Twist (3347-4HU) has almost all the ports what we can expecting from a modern ultrabook but with a mini-HDMI would be a problem as mostly projectors have a full HDMI port and the adaptor for a mini-HDMI are really hard to get and keep along with you. An full HDMI port would be really a nice feature but unfortunately Lenovo ThinkPad Twist (3347-4HU) does not have it.
A 12.5" 720p HD screen with wide viewing angles is just we need and you can easy rotate it 180 degree.Lenovo ThinkPad Twist (3347-4HU) equipped with sensors which change the orientation of screen, for example when you use it as you use a ultrabook, it changes the view to horizontal and change to vertical view in tablet mode. the sensors which changes the orientation are just not perform good, i.e they fails some times but their is another option to change the orientation manually.we can change the orientation by using the keyboard keys Ctrl+Alt. Screen has a resolution of 1366x768 but a 1080p resolution would be a good for full HD videos but this is not a problem as you are not gonna watch the movies on it all the time but this 1366x768 is not bad to have with 12.5" ultrabook.
Lenovo ThinkPad Twist (3347-4HU) has a nice keyboard with good curve key as you can easily type what you want. they people who love typing are gonna love the Lenovo ThinkPad Twist (3347-4HU) as key are very responsive and comfortable while typing. A small chage in keyboard is that some key have been moved down as PrintScreen is moved down which really is not a good idea. The touch pad is just awesome and very responsive as it does not miss a single gesture during our tests. The midle-righ-left key are located on the top of touch pad as usual and they are also very good. Overall the keyboard and touch pad are very nice to use except some keys are moved.
Lenovo Thinkpad twist 3347-4HU has a sealed 4 cell- li Polymer battery. We use Thinkpad twist 3347-4HU is our battery test, in which we try to do every task which a normal daily user do as watch some HD clips, some Microsoft work and typing some paragraphs while playing audio songs. Its battery life is much short about 165 minutes and we are really disappointed with this result.
Thinkpad twist 3347-4HU has a good fan for cooling as today's modern ultrabooks do not produce much heat so a single fan is enough for Thinkpad twist 3347-4HU as well. Thinkpad twist 3347-4HU runs cool during our tests and we are happy with its cooling fan which does not make much noice as few people really disturb due to fan noise of laptops but yes, you can do whatever you want without noise disturbance on Thinkpad twist 3347-4HU.
Lenovo ThinkPad Twist (3347-4HU) is advertised as excellent ultrabook and it does perform good in the all the benchmarks that we run on it and it has a good screen with best touch sensors but has a poor orientation sensor system which change the view (Horizontal/vertical) has lack of accuracy and key board has keys moved down.It has a mini HDMI port which should be a full HDMI port.Overall this is a good ultrabook and its not bad choice at all as a business ultrabook but yes it has a few problem (Mention above).The price of $900 is not much as this ultrabook has some great features as well.
The thing which stop me to give it a Silver award is its bad sensors which changes orientation of screen to horizontal/vertical view

- Convertible from laptop to tablet.
- Keyboard is decent.
- Nice touch pad.
- Some keyboard keys are displaced (Moved Down).
- Orientation sensors are just not good enough.
