The notebook is full of many kind of notebooks and use has much more options to choose from today than before. I went in the market to buy a notebook for my personal use and the things that I consider were, I am not going to play games on my notebook so Intel HD graphics would be enough so I concentrate to get a better CPU and as I like the mobility that is why I choose SSD as storage solution, USB 3.0 is necessary along with Ethernet port should be included but the main important thing is battery life. I mention these things for just to give you an idea on how to group 3 or 4 notebooks which matches you criteria most. Today we are going to review an HP notebook. Asus is famous for its notebooks of wide variety with best build quality and performance. Today we will review HP EliteBook 2760p-LG682EA which is Intel CPU based notebook.

The case of HP EliteBook 2760p-LG682EA does not have many changes than its predecessors and the whole color scheme of black and silver color give it typical HP looks which look quite good. The surface of the HP EliteBook 2760p-LG682EA is also a bit shiny which looks good in the day light and with the black and silver colors, it looks attractive and also the metallic work gives the perfect looks. The main focus of HP is making this notebook + tablet more attractive. The hinges are quite good to handle the display. There is some softness in the area above the optical drive and the left corner on the bottom side had some softness. The lid is quite good for the people who like it a bit solid. Overall HP EliteBook 2760p-LG682EA has good design and decent build quality.

The HP EliteBook 2760p-LG682EA has 12.1-inch display screen which is basically multi-touch LED display panel. The ratio of the display is 16:10 instead of 16:9 which is usual with wide screen displays. The max resolution is 1280x800 which is quite good for a 12.1 inch display. The max brightness is also good for outdoor work as well as indoor working. The HP EliteBook 2760p-LG682EA has a sensor which auto-adjust the brightness of the display according to environmental light around. The contrast ratio is also quite good and the viewing angles are good as well. The image quality is much better than previous model so all these things make HP EliteBook 2760p-LG682EA a good notebook for outdoor work. Overall HP EliteBook 2760p-LG682EA has pretty good display screen.

The HP EliteBook 2760p-LG682EA is basically 12.1-inch notebook so you can’t expect to have a full keyboard. The HP EliteBook 2760p-LG682EA is equipped with pretty decent size keyboard with enough size keys. There is a track pen as well located H, G,B keys. The keyboard has some problem regarding to key responsiveness which is not acceptable at this price level. The key often does not detect taps which cause huge problem when you are typing fast. The touchpad is not large but it is quite responsive as track pad also done well. The click keys are located up and down of the touchpad. The keys are also good and the surface of the touchpad help to glide the finger which help while navigating and also in multi-gesture operations. Overall HP EliteBook 2760p-LG682EA has poor keyboard and great touchpad but its smaller than expected.

The HP EliteBook 2760p-LG682EA has two loud speakers….yes, they produce louder sound which is quite good and with the pretty good base, they make us quite happy. The speakers had good max volume and base and the sound quality is also pretty good and they are enough for 3 or 4 people for watching movies but yes external speakers are the best choice. Overall HP EliteBook 2760p-LG682EA has good speakers.

The HP EliteBook 2760p-LG682EA has some very nice low temperatures which is quite good for the people who use their notebooks on the lap while sitting in park, garden etc. The temperatures in the idle working were low as well as temperatures in the load working were a bit more than idle temperatures which is much better than competitor notebooks. The HP EliteBook 2760p-LG682EA remains quiet in idle working scenario and you can’t really hear the noise of the fan which turn off some times. The noise in load working scenario was still ignorable because its not distracting and businessmen are gonna like this notebook. Overall HP EliteBook 2760p-LG682EA remain cool and quiet.

The HP EliteBook 2760p-LG682EA has all the connectivity options (last gen.). It has Bluetooth 3.0 and Wifi for wire free high speed connectivity. It has On/Off switch, WLAN Antenna, display lock at the front side and on the right side, it has Instant choice,  audio port combined, smart card reader, 2x USB 2.0 and Kensington Lock. It has Ethernet port. VGA and AC-in on the rear. It has card reader, recoding pen, Express card reader, Fire Wire 400, 1x USB 2.0 + charging. I really like the connectivity options but USB 3.0 would be better instead of USB 2.0. Overall HP EliteBook 2760p-LG682EA has pretty decent connectivity options.

The HP EliteBook 2760p-LG682EA has a Lithium-ion based battery of 39 which manage to keep it running for about 245 minutes which is a good figure. We measure the battery life by running all the tasks which a normal user runs on his notebook as Microsoft Office work, Typing while listening audio songs, watching HD movie/ clips, surfing web via Wifi, Copying files from HDD to HDD and from USB flash drive etc. to get the most realistic result instead of running any battery life benchmarks. Overall HP EliteBook 2760p-LG682EA has pretty decent battery life.

The HP EliteBook 2760p-LG682EA has pretty good design as notebook + tablet and with the silver and black colors, it is very attractive. The notebook is not too heavy and build quality is also decent. The keyboard is not as good as it has to and touchpad is too small but its very responsive. It has track pen as well. The display is quite good and responsive. The speakers and battery life are also good as well. The HP EliteBook 2760p-LG682EA has multiple connectivity feature but USB 3.0 is not available. The HP EliteBook 2760p-LG682EA runs cool and quiet but some areas has softness which is not good for this kind of product. Overall it’s a pretty good choice to make. Contact me for more advice…..
