There are some really interesting graphics cards have come into the market and the battle between Nvidia and AMD has reached at its peak again, this is really a good thing for the people who are willing to buy a new GPU for themselves. The main plus point of this dominance war is that consumer’s cost reduce to about 10% to 15% because of both brands wanted to get more sales and dominate the score cards. So far Nvidia has the edge over AMD from about 5 months but now AMD has launched some GPUs as well to create room in market for them. Today we are going to review an AMD graphics card customized by ASUS from AMD’s R9 series which is ASUS R9 280X DCU II.
The ASUS R9 280X DCU II is well build as the design is pretty much similar to the other DCU II cards of ASUS. The ASUS has improved the efficiency of the cooling system by installing their custom heat sink as well as two fans. The design is really good with 1x DVI-I and 1x DVI-D ports. The ASUS R9 280X DCU II also has Display Port and HDMI port as well and ASUS R9 280X DCU II supports 4 Displays easily (tested). The ASUS R9 280X DC II requires 1x 8-pin and 1x 6-pin PCIe power connector with TDP of 250Watts.
