The processor is the main components of any PC and as the faster processor will be, the PC performs faster as well. People always want to have fastest processor in their PC which also fits into the limits of their budget so they do their homework and make up their mind before going into the market, I am talking about the people who build a mid-level gaming PC. AMD has been the a great CPU brand which provide multi core CPU with the very low cost but from 5-6 pas years, Intel remain at the top and really dominate the CPU market.
The Phenom x6 1100T has the default core clock of 3.3Ghz which is only 100Mhz more than the previous AMD Phenom x6 1090T. Phenom x6 1100T has the turbo clock speed of 3.7Ghz. The Phenom x6 1100T is black edition CPU and the CPU multiplier is unlocked so it can be overclocked as well. The overclocking is best done by tinkering with the CPU multiplier first, then slowly tweaking the reference clock to squeeze every bit of performance out of it that you can. For the 1100T, I started with pushing the CPU multiplier up one multi at a time until I was no longer able to boot and remain stable through benchmarks. Once I reached the limit, I then did the same with the reference clock. Once I lost stability, I then backed off a bit until I was completely free of any instabilities. For the 1100T, I hit the same wall I did with the previous Phenom II X6 1090T. The Phenom II X6 1090T is a good processor which is ideal for low budget PC but the performance is not at satisfactory level and people who are looking for a gaming PC which should perform very best, I would suggest them to go with Intel.
- Six AMD Cores.
- AMD Hyper Transport 3.0 technology.
- Cheap, low cost.
- Decent Performance.
- Old Architecture.
- Unsatisfied memory performance.
- Not the fast than Intel competitor.
