Today it’s the time of ultrabooks and people are absolutely mad about them and why not ?, they are light weight as a small book, they are fast, they had longer battery life and the most important, they had SSD storage which means, you can take your ultrabook where every you want them with you and the shaking or small shocks are not a problem anymore. When check out the market, its full of many kind of ultrabooks so we decide to review some to the new ones, Today we are going to take a look at ASUS ultrabook. ASUS has been very consistent regarding to performance and we have high expectations from ASUS. The babe on the bench is Asus Vivo Tab TF810C.

We have review some notebooks with the flipping frame mechanism which use for converting notebook into tablet and Asus Vivo Tab TF810C has the same mechanism, ASUS tried the same thing as we have already seen in Acer and HP and some Dell ultrabooks as well. It has great metallic hinges and the design in quite suitable for the people who want a tablet, without keyboard as they are used to touch inputs so they will please with Asus Vivo Tab TF810C as you can separate the display from the keyboard and use it as just tablet and it result in less weight to carry. The opening angles are 130 degree and the device can tip due to the unfavorable center of gravity. The build quality is quite good and the strength is also nice and we really like the design and build quality of Asus Vivo Tab TF810C. Overall Asus Vivo Tab TF810C has nice design.

Asus Vivo Tab TF810C has a 11.6 inch 1366x768 S-IPS+ LED display with the multi touch function and the good things is its finger print resistant so you don’t have to worry about finger prints on your screen as its windows 8 based notebook + tablet so touch function is required to be work very well. Some people say that Asus Vivo Tab TF810C should have 1600x900 or 1920x1080 resolution display but I have different opinion for Asus Vivo Tab TF810C, I think its good with 1366x768 resolution because its only 11.6 inch so if it has 1080p or HD+ resolution, the icons will be small and especially user will find out it difficult to read text. The display has excellent contrast ratio and its really great for Asus Vivo Tab TF810C and the brightness is adjusted by the sensor automatically as well and its good enough to work outside and inside of room. Touchscreen The 10 finger (8 fingers are tested during test) multi-touch display can be operated with the fingers or the stylus pen. The Wacom pen is made of plastic and cannot be stored inside the tablet. The pen has a better build quality. The S-IPS+ display has a great viewing angles and we found no problem with angles for watching movie with friends as well as working in the park because of good brightness and also because of great viewing angles. The S-IPS+ display have great picture quality and color display. Overall Asus Vivo Tab TF810C has Great multi touch display.

Asus Vivo Tab TF810C has nice keyboard as well as quite accurate stylus pen and the keys are just perfect for fast typing, text editing or navigation. The firm base and good pressure point make it a very good keyboard for students. The num pad is not present as expected from a 11.6 inch notebook and its not a bad thing so as far as touchpad is concerned, Asus Vivo Tab TF810C has a great touch pad. It is not large but not small as well. The touchpad has multi gesture function which works really great and the keys are also responsive. I would says, touch pad is large than some of other notebooks and the clean and comfortable palm rest make it very suitable to work. Overall Asus Vivo Tab TF810C has nice touch pad and keyboard.

The Asus Vivo Tab TF810C has 2 speakers integrated on the back side of lid which is quite surprising to see and they are on both sides to make a pleasant sound and they did so. The speakers have good volume level, I would say they are quite loud. The base is missing and the sound quality is not bad at all. For a 11.6 inch ultrabook, speaker are good and if you want best than use external speakers for that purpose. Overall Asus Vivo Tab TF810C has good speaker.

Asus Vivo Tab TF810C does not have a fan, it based upon same passive cooling solution as some of other tablet has and that make this notebook special. The Asus Vivo Tab TF810C remain quite cool during the normal work i.e. idle mode and temperatures remain quite low but its spurring to see remain quite low than expected level in stress as all the heat has to be transfer in the cover which is made of aluminum and there is not fan and with these things, Asus Vivo Tab TF810C remain cool as clock remain at 1.8 Ghz and you can’t really measure it CPU-z or some other tool and there is not turbo mode with atom CPU.  Asus Vivo Tab TF810C  has no fan for cooling and it has SSD so its 99% quiet and for human ear, it 100% quiet .Overall Asus Vivo Tab TF810C remains cool and fully quiet as well.

Asus Vivo Tab TF810C  has decent connectivity options as the WLAN module supports the draft-n standard and Bluetooth 4.0, which is pretty much standard repertoire for most Windows devices by now. Based on our rough evaluation the transmitting power is convenient. The Asus Vivo Tab TF810C has 1x USB 2.0, Power dock,  Micro SDHC port, and audio jack on left and on the right side it has 1x USB 2.0, volume button, micro HDMI and there is no Ethernet port, full HDMI or display port. Overall Asus Vivo Tab TF810C has decent connectivity options.

The Asus Vivo Tab TF810C remain running for about 535 minutes which is nice for a notebook and as it has dual batteries so 535 minutes for the Asus Vivo Tab TF810C in tablet mode is not a great things as it has no fan and with dual batteries it just lasted for 535 minutes and for a tablet, its not good and most disappointing thing is that batteries take too much time for charging. Overall I am not satisfied with Asus Vivo Tab TF810C’s batteries.

Asus Vivo Tab TF810C has a good design and solid build quality and ultra-light weight and tablet mode so you can separate keyboard from it and use it just like a tablet. The keyboard and touch pad are just great and very responsive and stylus pen is also accurate. It has S.IPS+ display which is really nice by brightness + contrast ratio and viewing angles. The speakers are good and loud but base is missing. Dual batteries does not perform as good as expected and lasts for about 535 minutes whereas we were expecting it to last for 650+ minutes and there is not full HDMI, display and Ethernet port. Overall it’s a good notebook which can turn into a complete tablet but low battery life of 535 minutes.
