Notebooks are the most searched topic and most people do some much research especially in America, Canada and other European countries these days. When I ask few people about their ideal notebook, i.e. what are the components or features they want to have in their personal notebooks. They replied me with some expected answers, all of them want their notebook to be faster but light weight and that is the same as my opinion and of most people who like mobility. The notebook is really hot these day and people are buying much more than past. As every brand has introduced its notebooks so competition is very tough among them and that thing cause some good notebooks being launched with less price. ASUS is also famous for its quality build notebooks so today we review another HP notebook, HP Envy x2 11-G000EG.

HP Envy x2 11-G000EG has 11.6 inch IPS LED display and the whole tablet look give it something different than some of other notebooks and especially aluminum made lid give it the perfect look. The silver color of notebook with the table + laptop design makes it a good choice for users who want ultra-light weight notebook. The aluminum work give it note only the good look but also the rigidness which is very good for any notebook. As a tablet it is almost equal to the iPads in weight which give an upper hand in mobility than some of other notebooks of this design. The bottom is comprise with the aluminum and the work of plastic of silver color complete the design for users which is very attractive and hard as required for a notebook and also its light weight as well. The hinges are not as good and precise as they had to be so there is always some problems to hold the display well. Overall HP Envy x2 11-G000EG has a nice attractive design.

HP Envy x2 11-G000EG has 11.6 inch multi touch glossy IPS display which is very good for this kind of notebook + tablet and the resolution is 1366x768. The display is multi touch so it gives HP Envy x2 11-G000EG more flexibility as a tablet and you can use it in the style that suits you. The brightness is quite good for the HP Envy x2 11-G000EG and we have no problem while using it in the park but the reflective display make it difficult to watch the things some times. The contrast is like as an IPS display should have, top class!. Yes, the display has a very good contrast ratio which help to improve the quality of image as well and displaying different colors. The HP Envy x2 11-G000EG’s IPS display has very good display angles which make it more easy to watch the movies with friend and we have no problem to watch the movie with some friends. Overall HP Envy x2 11-G000EG has a nice IPS display.

HP Envy x2 11-G000EG has decent size keys on the keyboard and the whole size of keyboard is good for this 11.6 inch notebook. The key are well finished and help to type quickly and they have smooth surface. The keys perform really good and we found no problem with the keyboard of HP Envy x2 11-G000EG during typing test. The keys responses very good and they did not miss any tap during our test. The touch pad is of decent size which also supports the multi touch gesture as well. The surface is smooth enough and helps to glide the finger. The keys are integrated into the surface and they also response very good. The touchpad also done well and we have no problem with its multi touch function. Overall HP Envy x2 11-G000EG has nice keyboard and touchpad.

HP Envy x2 11-G000EG has two stereo speaker which is in the case and they produce decent sound but not as good as expected and the volume level is also not good to watch movie with few friend and we will definitely recommend to use external speakers for that purpose. The base is almost absent and the quality of sound is of average range. Overall HP Envy x2 11-G000EG has decent speakers but not good as expected from HP.

HP Envy x2 11-G000EG is very cool to use in idle mode as well as under load and the temperature of surface and around the keyboard remain well below the danger level and it runs quite cool than expected. The noise produced by the fan is also low and the fan turn off completely when the HP Envy x2 11-G000EG was running in idle mode and when it was under stress, the fan produce quite low noise than some of other notebooks we have tested this weak and user will not have any problem regarding to the noise. Overall HP Envy x2 11-G000EG remains quiet and cool during our tests.

HP Envy x2 11-G000EG has Bluetooth 4.0 and the wifi of “N/B/G” bands for high speed wireless connectivity. It has only card reader on the rear and on the left it has 1x USB 2.0, HDMI and audio jack and there is nothing on the front side. On the right side, it has 1x USB 2.0 and dock station port. HP Envy x2 11-G000EG does not have Ethernet port and it does not support USB 3.0 because it has atom CPU inside. Overall HP Envy x2 11-G000EG has decent connectivity options.

HP Envy x2 11-G000EG has 47 Wh, 4 cells Lithium-Polymer Battery + 21 Wh dock to give it good battery life but it does not gives it a good battery life…..It stretch the battery life even further and HP Envy x2 11-G000EG lasts for about 954 minutes which is too good and no one can complain about battery life of HP Envy x2 11-G000EG. Overall HP Envy x2 11-G000EG has, I would say “Greatest” battery life.

HP Envy x2 11-G000EG is a very good tablet + ultrabook which performs good in our tests. It has good IPS display, nice attractive design, nice keyboard and touchpad as well. The HP Envy x2 11-G000EG does not supports USB 3.0, Ethernet port is not available and obviously its slim so it does not have optical drive. HP Envy x2 11-G000EG is a good choice for if you want a ultra-light weight notebook, i.e. like iPad. HP Envy x2 11-G000EG is a very good and innovative and attractive notebook + tablet.
