HP ProBook 4545s Review + BenchMarks

The technology is at its peak these days if we compare it to the past. The PCs are faster, compact and cooler than the past as well and the people have more choices when they went to the market and also now they can bought the their PC after specifically choosing almost all the components of it as mostly manufacturer gives the facility to customize their product when shopping online. HP is known for its high quality laptops and today we are going to review an HP notebook which is HP ProBook 4545s.

The color of the HP ProBook 4545s is not one, yes, HP use black and silver grey colors throughout the whole body manufacturing and the overall build quality is solid. HP uses aluminum in the manufacturing of lid, palm rest and around the keyboard to make it more solid but lighter to carry it everywhere you go.  Some plastic has been used in top bottom portion of the case and case is build solidly as it can easily manage pressure of expected level. Around the keyboard, above the optical drive, the whole HP ProBook 4545s has been build solidly and there is no weakness even in these areas where many other notebooks had issues, HP ProBook 4545s has no problem what so ever in aspect of solidity.  The overall design is quite simple and its perfect choice for businessmen and home users. The HP ProBook 4545s is great attractive and solid notebook with the weight of 5.5 pounds and its not heavy to carry around. Overall HP ProBook 4545s has a simple but great design and solid body.

HP ProBook 4545s has a  matte surface 15.6 inches display with the resolution of 1366x768 which is not unusual for the notebook of this price range as HP ProBook 4545s is so the display is not much bright, its low than the expected level and It cause us some problems while using outside in the park. The illumination is not so good as well. The problem of low brightness can be easily noticed when we watch the screen from different angles. Its is not a big problem because you have to compromise on some things as you are not giving $1000 for HP ProBook 4545s, if you want best display, go ahead and buy a notebook of $1000+. The viewing angles of HP ProBook 4545s’s display are not really good but as I mention abovev. The surface is not reflective so it can be used for outdoor work but brightness causes some issues. Overall HP ProBook 4545s has a decent display for this price.

HP ProBook 4545s has a Chiclet keyboard with the pretty decent size keys which are large enough for any kind of work whether its typing or gaming or just navigation. The distance between the keys is also enough as a good keyboard should have. The keyboard gives very direct feedback, and though it may feel a bit like the keys need hard strokes for some tastes, it has a good pressure point and appears to be very stable and high-quality. HP also built a complete number block into the ProBook 4545s. It has a decent size touchpad with the visibly separated keys. The touchpad support multi gesture function as It’s a windows 8 based notebook. Overall HP ProBook 4545s has a good keyboard and touchpad.

We have test the HP ProBook 4545s while running variety of programs which is a part of our test series so HP ProBook 4545s runs very cool in the idle mode as well as when its was under stress, yes. The temperatures both on the surface and inside were quite low and that is a very great thing for users so they can use their notebook on tap as well. HP ProBook 4545s also surprise us with the low noise of the fan and overall. The HP ProBook 4545s remain quiet in idle mode and quite low in stress test than the usual level of the some other notebooks which we have tested so far. Overall HP ProBook 4545s remain quiet and cool.

HP keeps the promise as The speakers of HP ProBook 4545s are truly a highlight for the HP ProBook 4545s, as HP explicitly advertises on their homepage. The speakers, hidden under an aluminum grating above the keyboard, produce a rounded sound. The "SRS Premium Sound" label doesn't promise more than it delivers, even if a subwoofer is missing for the deeper tones, of course. Aside from that, you can turn up your favorite music to the max without having to worry that the speakers will be overloaded. Overall we are pleased with the speakers of HP ProBook 4545s.

As far as connectivity is concern, HP ProBook 4545s has all the connectivity options for the users. It has 2x audio ports and card reader at the front. It has an optical drive and 2x USB 2.0 ports on the right side and on the left side, it has 2x USB 3.0 ports, Ethernet port, HDMI, VGA and Kingston lock as well. It has wifi of “N/B/G” band and  Bluetooth 4.0 for high speed connectivity as well. Overall HP ProBook 4545s has all the connectivity options which you may want.

HP ProBook 4545s has a 47 Watts, Li-ion battery of 6-Cell which performs really great in our test and it lasts for about 4.2 minutes which is very great and that is what every user wants from a notebook. We run every task/ program which a normal user does in his daily life as Microsoft Office Work, Typing, Video/ Photo editing, playing audio songs, watching HD movie, play some games etc. to get the most realistic results as we can and as a user experiences in real life.

HP ProBook 4545s is of just $630 at the time of review so you can’t expect much from it. It has some issues as display is not much brighter and the viewing angles are not really good but it performs very decently and has all the connectivity options which any user may want. It has good keyboard and touchpad as well. It has great speakers and out class battery life. Overall its not a bad choice at all for users who does not have much $ to spend.
