Dell XPS 13 L322X Review + BenchMarks

The notebooks have played an important role in the daily life of anyone either a businessman or student or someone else who do not want to be a slave of desktop machine. The notebooks are still in talk as many manufacturers introduce new technology in their notebooks as ASUS includes Thunderbolt port in their notebooks and Apple use the IPS screen in their MacBooks before anyone else. I like my notebook to have all the new connectivity options for example: it must have USB 3.0, Bluetooth 4.0, Ethernet port and HDMI. Your requirements depend upon your needs. Today the beauty on the Bench is a DELL notebook which is Dell XPS 13 L322X.

The Dell XPS 13 L322X has very slime design and the silver black color scheme make it very attractive as well. The case has been made with aluminum and the base unit has been made with black plastic. The total weight of Dell XPS 13 L322Xc is about 1.4Kg which is a little bit heavier than some of the other competitor notebooks. The body is strengthened very well and that can be feel when you take the notebook in your hands. There is also work of Carbon Fiber (also mention on their website) to make the Dell XPS 13 L322X more strong which is nice. Overall Dell XPS 13 L322X has great design and solid build quality.

The Dell XPS 13 L322X has 13.3 inch IPS Glossy display which offers the max resolution of 1920x1080 which should be 1366x768 in my opinion as the total size is 13.3 inch so it may be difficult for mostly users to see the icons easily as the resolution of 1080p is very high for this size. Dell uses Gorilla glass for the display screen to look flat but I am afraid, it may cause of reflection during outdoor working. The brightness is quite good and the contrast ratio of Dell XPS 13 L322X’s display is nice. The image quality of display is very good and the viewing angles are also very good as expected. All these things make it possible to work outdoor easily. Overall Dell XPS 13 L322X has nice display.

The Dell XPS 13 L322X has keyboard of pretty decent size and I would say large keyboard as of a 13.3 inch notebook. The size of the keys is also large and the smooth surface with good keystroke and the optimal resistance make it very good for fast and accurate typing. The Dell XPS 13 L322X has dark color of the keys looks good and there is lighting so working in night would not be difficult. The touchpad is also large and the keys are separated into the surface by just a white line on the surface. The touchpad has multi-gesture feature. The touchpad also done well in our tests of both navigation and multi-gestured usage. Overall Dell XPS 13 L322X has nice keyboard and touchpad.

The Dell XPS 13 L322X stereo speakers which are decent as they produce loud sound on the max volume level and the quality of the sound is not consistent and that feel pretty odd. The base is completely missing and we recommend using external speakers for the better performance. Overall Dell XPS 13 L322X has poor speakers.

The Dell XPS 13 L322X has surprisingly high temperatures all around the notebook and CPU as well even during idle work which is not good and that also cause problem to use in on the lap even during normal work. The temps during the load were also quite high and we recommend to never use it on the lap. The fan of Dell XPS 13 L322X produce low noise during the idle work load and the noise of the fan during load was quite high and very distracting. The noise was high enough to distract me when I was watching a video on it. Overall Dell XPS 13 L322X runs louder and high temps.

The Dell XPS 13 L322X has Bluetooth 3.0 and latest Wifi module which support “N“ band for high speed wireless connectivity. The Dell XPS 13 L322X has 1x USB 3.0, AC-in and audio port on the left side. It has and 1x USB 3.0 and display port on the left side. It has no card reader and no HDMI and no Ethernet port so it does not have many connectivity ports which may cause you trouble so you have to carry the converter where ever you go. Overall Dell XPS 13 L322X has limited connectivity options.

The Dell XPS 13 L322X has 6 Cell Lithium-ion battery of 47 watts which manage to keep the Dell XPS 13 L322X running for about 374 minutes during our battery life test which is good. We measure battery life by doing the normal tasks as a normal user is going to do on his/ her notebook, for example, typing while listening audio songs, watching HD movie/ clips, surfing web via Wifi, MS-Office work etc. to get the most realistic result. Overall Dell XPS 13 L322X has nice battery life.

The Dell XPS 13 L322X is a good ultrabook which is nice design which is quite attractive and it has solid build quality. The display is very nice and the keyboard and touchpad are also good. The Dell XPS 13 L322X has limited connectivity options as there is no HDMI, VGA, Ethernet port so it has only display port and the Bluetooth module of version 3.0 which offers less speed than the latest Bluetooth 4.0 module. The Dell XPS 13 L322X runs quite hot and louder during load and it runs on high temps even during idle working. It has poor speakers. The Dell XPS 13 L322X has nice battery life of 374 minutes. I will recommend you to consider some other notebook.
