There are many laptops are in the market and especially the thinner ones are the mainly sold products these days which are also known as ultrabooks and in this summer people had wide variety to choose from, for example all the brands had introduced many ultrabooks and they are still doing that so people have more options to use. The ultrabooks are light weight as well as they last long so if you had a notebook which last for 6 or 7 hours easily then you don’t have to remain around the power socket but the gaming notebooks have their own value and people who want gaming with mobility really like gaming notebook and who is unaware of Asus G series gaming notebooks. Today we are going to review Asus G750JX which is powered by new Intel 4th Gen Haswell CPU and Nvidia GTX 780 GPU.

The Asus continues the shape which becomes the ID plate for the Asus G series, in Asus G750JX. The color is same, solid black and dark grey work can also be seen in the case. The look is same solid, like rocks which give it the typical gaming notebook looks. The base unit looks simple and slim than its predecessor and it is completely black. But, with a the bulky height only slightly changed. The black fan grills at the back give it a different monster looks as well. The 98% case has been built with black solid plastic. The build quality is pretty nice and solid. The hinges are good as usual with Asus gaming G series notebooks. The only tiny problem we feel is that the surface can easily take up the finger prints or dust particles. Overall Asus G750JX has great build quality.

The Asus G750JX has 17.3-inch Full HD EWV LED non-glare display screen which offers the max resolution of 1920x1080. These kinds of display panels are pretty good for performance but we had experience some problem with the viewing angles in many notebooks with similar kind of display panels. The first good thing is that the display has non-reflective matte surface which really help to work outdoor. The contrast ratio is pretty good as well as high brightness which will surely help in outdoor working. The image quality is good but I feel it should be better at this price level as many notebooks have better displays. The viewing angles are decent especially horizontal viewing angles are pretty good and vertical v-angles are a but limited. Overall G750JX has good display screen.

The G750JX has pretty much same keyboard as its predecessor has and the overall size is also same as G75VX. The keys are also pretty large and as usual it has a separate numeric keypad. The keyboard has backlighting as well which has three different configurable levels for user’s choice. The pressure points are pretty good and keys are also responsive and it will helps the gamers. The keyboard is just perfect, not low, nor overflowed so gamers will surely enjoy using it. The touchpad is also of large size and the surface is pretty good for gliding the fingers on it and the click keys with perfect key strokes make it a good touchpad for the users. Overall G750JX has nice keyboard and touchpad.

The Asus seems to manage the temperatures pretty good and the dual fan scheme works as expected. The temperature of components and all around the notebook and keyboard surface were pretty low the normal level during the idle working. These temperatures still remains under the normal max temperature level and the G750JX keep running cooler than mostly gaming notebooks in stress test. The temperatures during benchmarks were also lower than expected. The noise produced by G750JX in normal working was a bit higher than the usual and it was audible but the main thing is gaming for a gaming notebook and Asus remain a bit quiet, yes quieter than mostly gaming notebook and also quieter in benchmarks which is surprisingly great. Overall G750JX runs cool and quiet as a gaming notebook.

The Asus G750JX has many options for the users as it has Bluetooth 4.0 and latest Atheros Gigabit Ethernet module and an Atheros AR9485WB-EG Wi-Fi module which is capable of 150 Mbps connectivity speed as well. The Asus G750JX also has a thunderbolt for gamers/ users. The Asus G750JX has optical drive, SD card reader and 2x USB 3.0 ports on the left side. It also has 2x USB 3.0, 2x audio ports, HDMI, Thunderbolt port, VGA, Gigabit Ethernet port, AC-in on the right side. These connectivity options are great to have in personal notebook and Asus does not disappoint in case of Asus G750JX. Overall Asus G750JX has great connectivity options.

The 8 Cells Lithium-ion based battery of 89 watts which is nice in a gaming notebooks as gaming notebooks are more power hungry than usual notebooks. The battery manages to keep Asus G750JX running for about 277 minutes. We measure battery life of notebook by running all usual/ normal tasks as Microsoft Office work, photo editing, HD movie/ clips, audio songs etc. and some gaming as well to get the realistic timings which is applicable in the real life instead of doing battery benchmarking which are far away from real life. Overall Asus G750JX has nice battery life as a gaming notebook.

The Asus G750JX is a pretty good notebook with great build quality and solid monster gaming case as well. The display screen is pretty good and keyboard and touchpad are pretty awesome as well. The speakers are good and it runs pretty cool and quiet during gaming and benchmarks. The Asus G750JX has good battery life as well. The connectivity options are great including 4x USB 3.0 and Thunderbolt port. The Asus G750JX has New 4th Gen ‘Haswell’ Intel Core i7 quad core CPU running at 2.4 GHz and Nvidia GTX 780M GPU with 2GB GDDR5 memory as well. The Asus G750JX performs really nice in the benchmarks so it’s a nice laptop to buy at the moment perhaps best gaming notebook in the market till today.
