There are many laptops are in the market and especially the thinner ones are the mainly sold products these days which are also known as ultrabooks and in this summer people had wide variety to choose from, for example all the brands had introduced many ultrabooks and they are still doing that so people have more options to use. The ultrabooks are light weight as well as they last long so if you had a notebook which last for 6 or 7 hours easily then you don’t have to remain around the power socket but the gaming notebooks have their own value and people who want gaming with mobility really like gaming notebook and who is unaware of Asus and Dell gaming notebooks. Today we are going to review Dell Inspiron 15-3521 which is powered by Intel 3th Gen IvyBridge CPU and AMD HD 8750M GPU.

We had seen may cases build from aluminum and matte plastic of black color as well as combination of both these different materials. The Dell Inspiron 15-3521 has been made mostly with the plastic, the black matte plastic. The surface is not same as many other notebooks. The Dell Inspiron 15-3521 has pattern styled surface. The rigid base is also a good point for Dell Inspiron 15-3521. There is no softness in the base unit. The lid is not as good as it has to be as there is some softness and it can be bend a little easily by applying pressure. The surface around the keyboard is not as good as it easily pick up the dust particles. The keyboard is well placed and the hinges are pretty tight as both hands are needed to open the lid. Overall Dell Inspiron 15-3521 has good design and decent build quality.

The Dell Inspiron 15-3521 has 15.6-inch TN LED glossy panel display screen which offers the max resolution of about 1366x768. The display panel is not anti-glare so reflections would be a problem in the outdoor usage. The contrast ratio is pretty nice and the image quality is also great. The display screen is good for multi-color presentation in ultra-high resolution. The brightness is good and that would help in outdoor usage. The viewing angles are not as good as they had to be at this price level. The horizontal and vertical viewing angles are pretty limited and picture began to effect even with a little change in position. The Dell Inspiron 15-3521 is not good when it comes to use in outdoor due to high reflection. Overall Dell Inspiron 15-3521 has poor display screen.

The Dell Inspiron 15-3521 is a 15.6-inch notebook so keyboard has separate numpad as well as size of the keys is also large. The keyboard is basically Chiclet style keyboard. The keys are good and responsive due to perfect pressure points and good feedback usually helps in accurate typing but due to lack of a conical curvature, fast and precise typing is difficult. The fingers cannot find indentations that serve the navigation. The touchpad is good due to smooth surface for gliding the finger all across the touchpad and the multi-touch feature is also good. This touchpad is of large size with integrated keys. Dell seems to done good work on touchpad of Dell Inspiron 15-3521. Overall Dell Inspiron 15-3521 has poor keyboard and nice touchpad.

The Dell Inspiron 15-3521 has pretty good temperature all across the notebook and components inside. The Dell Inspiron 15-3521 runs cool during the idle working and remains at the normal level. The temperatures raise under load during benchmarks and gaming and it was not dangerous but I still recommend to do not use Dell Inspiron 15-3521 on the lap while doing some heavy work i.e. gaming. The Dell Inspiron 15-3521 remain quiet but not full quiet i.e. fan never fully turn off ad remains active all the time during normal working. The noise increased to audible level which was very distracting and it was not suitable for concentrating work like downloading, virus-scan while watching HD movie. Overall Dell Inspiron 15-3521 runs noisy at high temperature.

The Dell Inspiron 15-3521 has pretty good connectivity options. It has WiFi and latest Bluetooth 4.0 module for high speed wireless connectivity. The Dell Inspiron 15-3521 has card reader at the front and optical drive and 1x USB 2.0 o the left side. It has AC-in, Ethernet port, HDMI, 1x USB 2.0, 1x audio port and 2x USB 3.0 port on the right side so overall Dell Inspiron 15-3521 has pretty good connectivity options.

The Dell Inspiron 15-3521 has 65 watt, 6 cell lithium-ion based battery pack which manage to keep Dell Inspiron 15-3521 running for about 418 minutes which is really nice for a notebook. We measure battery life of notebook by running all usual/ normal tasks as Microsoft Office work, photo editing, HD movie/ clips, audio songs etc. and some gaming as well to get the realistic timings which is applicable in the real life instead of doing battery benchmarking which are far away from real life. Overall Dell Inspiron 15-3521 has nice battery life as an all-rounder notebook.

The Dell Inspiron 15-3521 is a good notebook with pretty much good things and some bad things. It has Intel 3rd Gen IvyBridge Core i5 CPU and AMD HD 8750 GPU. The Dell Inspiron 15-3521 has 1TB HDD and 2x USB 3.0 ports as well. The Dell Inspiron 15-3521 performs well in benchmarks. The Dell Inspiron 15-3521 has good touchpad, connectivity, audio, battery life. It has poor display screen, keyboard and runs loud which is distracting. Dell Inspiron 15-3521 has un-suitable build quality at this price level so personally I am not impressed with overall results of Dell Inspiron 15-3521 but still if you want any advice, contact me.
