Fujitsu LifeBook T902 Review + BenchMarks

Many laptop manufacturers have introduced their laptop of wide varieties and ranger both of performance and price. Nowadays, people are more interested in the ultrabooks and they want their notebooks more lightweight and fast. Mostly these people are students and businessmen who always keep walk from one class room to another or one office to other office/ suite so they can’t just carry much weight with them and that is the main reason behind the success of ultrabooks. Today we are going to review another ultrabook from Fujitsu and it is Fujitsu Lifebook T902.

Fujitsu Lifebook T902 has a solid attractive design, it has a silver colored design with aluminum but the overall surface is really nicely finished as its much improved than the pervious notebook and especially the surface of plastic around the key board and palm rest has been improved with metallic surface. The silver brushed surface gives the notebook much attractive look when the lid is closed. Fujitsu Lifebook T902 is slimmer than the previous notebook and also the lid has been fixed as well with much improved silver brushed aluminum surface. The palm rest is solid and the display can be twisted only slightly. However Fujitsu has problems with the wide optical drive. The surface at this point can be visibly pushed in with just slight pressure. We also do not like the missing display latch and the design related slight teetering of the display. In return you are able to turn the display. The total weight of this ultrabook is about 4.4 pound which is just above the expected level for a ultrabook. Overall Fujitsu Lifebook T902 has great design.
Fujitsu Lifebook T902 has 13.3 inches HD+ 1600x900, IPS, multi touch display. The ultrabook is basically convertible so you can twist as well. The surface is a bit more glossy so yeh, it is not fully anti-glare nor fully glossy surface. Diffuse reflections are visible, but by far less disturbing than we are used to from displays with entirely glossy surfaces. The display has bit low brightness on the edges but it can only be seen by viewing high brighter image of single color, not multi color and it not good nor bad, just between and does not affect picture quality at all. The With a contrast close to 1,000:1 the display of the Fujitsu Lifebook easily jumps into the leading group of notebook displays in this sub rating. Rich colors and a deep black ensure a very harmonious picture impression. Especially pictures, videos and games benefit from the vivid presentation. The Viewing angles are not just good enough and you may face problem when try to watch the screen from sides or up/down line. The multi touch functionality is not good, when we want to do the work with some speed, it miss the touch some times. In this context the semi-gloss display finish is slightly unfavorable. Overall the display is just O.K to me.

The keyboard has keyboard of decent size. The key mat is fixed very firm in the center, but can be visibly pushed in at the sides. This is especially problematic above the optical drive because it leads to a slight key clatter. Otherwise the keys have a midrange travel and a soft keystroke that results in a low noise level. The pressure point of the keys is somewhat imprecise and is caused by the soft keystroke on the one hand and the flexible keyboard support on the other hand. The touchpad is just too small to me as it just 43mm X 70mm. the keys are separated and very responsive. The touchpad is small but its really responsive and does not miss a touch/ tap by touchpad/ keys and the click sound is just right. The multi gesture functionality is really awesome and you will not want to take your fingers up from the touchpad. Overall the touchpad and the keys are great.

Fujitsu Lifebook T902 has not good speakers. The speakers has very poor sound quality and the max volume is also low so you are not going to enjoy the sound of Fujitsu Lifebook T902. There is absolutely no bass at all so you can’t enjoy the pop music and also their some distortion when we increase the volume to max and its really feels awkward to me. Overall Fujitsu Lifebook T902 has not good speakers.

Fujitsu Lifebook T902 runs cooler than expected and the heat controlling is really improved in this model than the previous one and the Fujitsu Lifebook T902 remain really cool at the ideal load and there is no problem to use it on lap at all but when it’s under load, the area around the keyboard become warm but not too much. The noise is very low when it’s in idle mode and fan was almost quiet and it was almost turn off in some time intervals but under the load, it runs very high and noise was vary audible to me, while watching the movie it was disturbing and the noise rises and than low and than rise again which cause much disturbing when watching the movie with some concentration.

Fujitsu Lifebook T902 has good connectivity options. It has Bluetooth 4.0 and “n/b/g” band high speed wifi for wireless communication as well. On the right side, it has optical drive, 1x USB 2.0, Kensington-preparation, Pen mounting while on the left side, it has 2x audio ports, 2x USB 3.0, HDMI, VGA, AC jack for power adaptor. It has 1x USB 2.0 and Ethernet port on the back side and on the front, it has Wifi switch and card reader.

Fujitsu Lifebook T902 has a 8 cell li-ion battery of 72 watts which does really well and lasts for about 374 minutes which is really good for a ultrabook and we run all kinds of tasks as a normal user does on his notebook for example we do some Microsoft office work, typing while playing audio songs, watching HD movie, some gaming and benchmarks work as well etc. to get the more realistic result as we can.

Fujitsu Lifebook T902 is a good ultrabook and the performance is very good in the benchmarks. It has great connectivity option for the user and good display and design as well with nice overall body of silver brushed aluminum. It runs cool most of the time and quiet. The Fujitsu Lifebook T902 has some problem with the brightness and keyboard keys which can be moved on side by just a push. Its touchpad is great and does well during the test.
