The laptops are the fashion and they are the need of today’s working men and students and of every person who likes mobility and does not want to sit in front of table/desk all the time. The time is the thing which is pretty expensive for every one so every user wants his laptop to be light weight to carry around and enough faster to do his desired tasks quickly to keep the time consumption low and time really matters to many people. HP has been at the top from many years and now a days they are facing much competition from other brands as well and they are focusing on their product more. Today we review the HP ProBook 6470b laptop.
HP ProBook 6470b has Core i5 3320 dual core processor inside running at 2.6 Ghz of default speed with trubo boost and hyper threading technology. The RAM is 1600 mhz of size of 4 GB and 500 GB 7200 rpm HDD is inside for storage and for graphics, it has Intel HD 4000 and Bluetooth 4.0, USB 3.0 and Wifi is ready for high speed communication.
The Display is of 14.0 inch and has the resolution of 1366x768 which is basically Samsung TN LED display and HP has used Samsung TN LED panel in their notebooks in the past as well. The HP ProBook 6470b can be bough with an HD + resolution display. The display is disappointedly less brighter than expected and lack in this competition. The lower lef corner of the display lack and feel really odd to see that and it happen when brighter white image being viewed. The viewing angles are very limited and watching movie from a bit lef/right side angle make it much difficult to view the movie properly.
The keyboard is really good its nice to see, the keys are of pretty decent size and nice responsive keys are very good for high speed accurate typing. Druring out test, the keyboard performs really great but a little problem is that the navigation arrow keys are of smaller size but does not really matter much and the touch pad is of decent size and with the nice matter surface it seem good and also great gliding traits make it perfect. The touch pad is really responsive and the buttons are decently nice in performance. In our tests, the touchpad and button really perform well and never miss a touch/tap even a single time.
The Speakers are good and in performance, the quality is pretty much decent but when we increase the volume to max, the quality goes down and no bass is also a lack in it stereo speakers. You can watch movie and play songs but when increase the volume, you will be disappointed. For best result, you will definitely need an external speaker system and the built-in are not well enough for mostly people.
HP ProBook 6470b runs really cool and temperature does not exceeds the problematic level and under load it does not raise to much as well, the nose of the fan is low in idle mode until we play HD movie on it and its fan produce much load noise which is really disturbing while watching the movie. Under the full load, the fan keep the same noise producing level which is reasonable is full load but not during watching the movie.
On the left of HP ProBook 6470b, there is a AC, 2x USB 3.0 ports, a SD car reader, smart card and the optical drive is available whereas on the back side/rear, there is VGA, RJ 11 and the Ethernet port for LAN and on the right side, it has 2 audio in/out jacks, a eSATA port, 1x USB 2.0 and Kingston lock as well.
HP ProBook 6470b has the 6 cell li-ion battery of 55 Wh and it lasted for 368 minutes in our battery test which is really nice to see, we run pretty much every tasks which a normal person does like MS office work, HD movie, gaming, internet surfing via wifi etc. to get the realistic results. The battery life of HP ProBook 6470b is very nice.
HP ProBook 6470b is good notebook which has pros and cons of its own. It has perform good and good battery timings and nice keyboard as well and runs cool but speaker and display has some problem as well….Its good for indoor use but outside you will face viewing problem.
